Effect of chin tuck against resistance (CTAR) exercise in improving swallowing ability among neurological disorders patients with dysphagia at IMS and sum hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Dysphagia can adversely affect the quality of life and increases risk dehydration aspiration. Many emotional physical problems performance disability or limited activity prevent social interaction. associated with morbidity mortality. The main objective study was to evaluate effectiveness Chin Tuck against Resistance (CTAR) exercise in improvement swallowing ability among neurological disorders patients dysphagia at IMS SUM Hospital, Bhbaneswar Odisha. A experimental conducted 60 samples were selected by purposive sampling divided 30 control group 30. Used Gugging screen scale (GUSS) observe score. Pre-test data collected from both groups interview observation method. Then next day onwards Exercise administered for 8 consecutive days, 3 times per day, received routine care. findings revealed that, Experimental group, pre-test mean score 5.40±0.814,they progressed no end 8th post 15.23±2.285. Thus helpful improving dysphagia.
